Easy SUGAR SKULL Makeup Tutorial | Halloween

Hi everyone! Since Halloween is just a few days from now, I've decided to create a Halloween Makeup Series.

The first one I created was a Sugar Skull Makeup Tutorial. Sugarskulls have gained popularity over the last few years in use for Halloween. Sugar skulls originate from the Mexican traditional holiday called Day of the Dead which is celebrated in Central and Southern Mexico on the 1st and 2nd of November. The skulls are elaborately designed with extravagant detail. The most distinctive detail is the spiderweb on the forehead.  This look is ideal for those of you who want more than your average skull Halloween look,  for a last minute Halloween costume.

Steb by Step Guide

Step 1: I used cream eyeshadow lighter than my skin tone to cover my face and set it with a loose powder.

Step 2: Draw eye holes using pinkish red eyeshadow and an eyeshadow brush. Add the same eyeshadow to the entire circle you've created.

Step 3: Apply black eyeliner to define the circle.

Step 4: Add petals around the eye.

Step 5: Fill in the petals using your black eyeliner.

Step 6: Crate a spider web on your forehead

Step 7: Add some swirly details to your face.

Step 8: Add a hollow nose using your black eyeliner and draw black thin lines to your lips so they would look like teeth.

Step 9: Add a few more details.

Add flowers to the hair to emphasize the Mexican look you want to achieve.
